Source: MS Barry Papers and Letters, Lewis Walpole Library, Yale University.
Barry had moved to 36 Castle Street, Oxford Market, London in the later
months of 1788. 1John Pearson's address, Staple Inn in Holborn, was
associated with Gray's Inn, one of the Inns of Court; he was possibly a
partner in the legal firm of Judson and Pearson of Staples Inn, London (see
PROB 11/1252: Will of John Bolton, Clerk to Messieurs Judson and Pearson of
Staples Inn , City of London).
I beg leave to acquaint you that I have not any Claim on you, either for my self
or any other person, for either Rent or Interest in regard to the House which
you occupy in Castle Street Oxford Market
